Switching from WooCommerce Product Vendors to Vendor Workspace
Vendor Workspace is a multi-vendor plugin for WooCommerce that we build and sell at Webin Studio. It costs $99 a year for one site. The official WooCommerce Product Vendors extension showed $119 a year on its product page when we checked on October 12, 2026. This page covers what changes when you switch, what you set up again yourself, and the two ways to do it.
Founding customer price for our first 10 customers: 40% off the first year with code FOUNDING40.
First year only. Renewals are $99 a year, and the 30-day money-back guarantee still applies.
Try it in your browser first. Open the Vendor Workspace demo in WordPress Playground. It runs in your browser with two fictional vendors, commission rules, assigned products and the vendor portal pages already set up. Nothing is installed on your site.
What carries over and what you set up again
| In your store | After switching to Vendor Workspace 0.1.11 |
|---|---|
| Vendors and their users | Vendors are set up again in Vendor Workspace on the same WordPress accounts. They work in a front-end portal on your site (products, orders, balances, shipping, team and payout account) instead of the WordPress admin. |
| Commission rates | You set a store default, then per-vendor or per-product rules. The percentage is the vendor's share. |
| Products already assigned to vendors | You assign them again, one product at a time from the product list. There is no bulk import yet. |
| Past orders and commission history | Not imported. Pay out the balances earned in Product Vendors before you switch. Orders placed after the switch are tracked in Vendor Workspace. |
| Paying vendors | PayPal Payouts if your PayPal account is eligible (test in Sandbox first), or manual payout records for transfers you make yourself. |
| New vendors | Applicants sign in and apply from an application page. You approve them and review their products before they go live, unless you allow direct publishing for that vendor. |
| Subscriptions and Bookings | Not included in this release. If your vendors sell bookings or subscriptions, stay with the official extension. |
How to switch yourself
- Back up the store and make a staging copy. Set
WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPEtostagingon the copy so it cannot send payouts or email. - List your vendors with their WordPress users, commission rates and the products each one sells.
- Pay out the commissions still owed in Product Vendors.
- Install Vendor Workspace on staging. Save the store default commission in WooCommerce → Commission rules, then create the portal pages from WooCommerce → Vendor workspace setup.
- Set up each vendor and assign their products.
- Place a test order with products from two vendors, then make a partial refund. Check that each vendor sees only their own lines and the commission you expect.
- On the switch date, deactivate Product Vendors and repeat the setup on the live site.
Or we switch it for you: $299
We do the steps above on your store. The price includes one year of Vendor Workspace updates and support.

Requirements
WordPress 7.0.7 or later, WooCommerce, and PHP 8.1 or later. Selling protected downloads needs a private folder outside your web root. Hosting, email delivery, payment processing and PayPal payout fees are separate costs.
